to all of you i couldn't reach thru email...

Ok loves. So here's the deal. I've been inspired to help inspire you, as well as myself. After repeatedly visiting the Behance Network for helpful articles and tips and reading my daily blogs, I can't help but feel inspired. My thoughts have been provoked to do more creatively. Oh, and I can't forget about the wonderful people I know who have made opportunities for themselves using their talented craft, savvy business minds, and charisma to get them where they are today. My peers continue to motivate me towards my goals of achievements and I want to help you do the same. I've noticed that there is no lack of talent among myself and fellow artists, there's just a lack of action or an unfocused direction or approach. For me, the only excuse I have is I'm simply just lazy. I need structure and a plan in order to get things done. Without this, I don't feel like I'm working towards a goal, thus wasting my time and energy, which I loathe. So after having a little pow wow with my roommate, I realized how many ideas we have and need to bring to fruition in order to fulfill the title of "the best life ever!" So I've decided that we start now. I'm sharing a process with you that I'm going to embrace in my creative life in order to achieve productivity.

"PRODUCTIVE CREATIVITY = CREATIVITY + ORGANIZATION + CAPTURING ACTION STEPS + ACCOUNTABILITY + COLLABORATION... MAKE IDEAS HAPPEN."

"The success of any idea ultimately comes down to action."
-The Behance Network

The Behance Network preaches that productivity is simply the combination of ideas plus actions. With a clear view of your ideas and goals to achieve, along with some organization and planning, your actions will soon produce a product. (Refer to site to further review the action method)

So what I'm suggesting to you is (if you already have an idea or goals in mind):

1. Brainstorm or create a list of goals/ideas. And it is essential that you write these down so that these ideas can seep into your subconscious. You can either group all of your goals together or separate them as long term and short term goals. Now, this is an area many seem to never escape, idea generating. Limit the time you have to brainstorm, or just take it one idea at a time. Once done generating, filtering and identifying specific goals is key to programming your brain to auto-pilot.

2. From these goals/ideas, work backwards in deciding your plan of attack/actions. Or you can take a different approach and start with an idea, plan your actions to make it happen, and see what new avenues this idea can lead to, but still reaching that ultimate goal. This area can take some time as well if you're not sure what actions need to be taken, so you may need to do some research, which is an action step to take in itself. The answers from your research are your objectives to execute in order to real your goal. You may find in the research process that some ideas just aren't doable, and end up trashing those, which is fine.

3. Upon finishing step 2, plan your time accordingly and realistically. You know your work style, so discipline yourself effectively to achieve greatness. And in this step, I recommend using a calendar that is in your view everyday and creating a checklist so that you may see your accomplishments as the process moves along.

4. Like Nike says, "just do it!" Check your scheduled plan regularly and monitor your progression. Keep the "bigger picture" in mind to stay focus.

Please feel free to alter this guide to fit you and your needs. I am simply offer a structured format to implement in your creative process. And if you feel like you need a support group to help you with this, I am more than willing to try to set up a weekly meeting for a group of us to meet or maybe even a gmail group so that you can get some feedback (not criticism) on your ideas.

I hope this makes sense, because its 3am and I'm too tired to proofread...
