man whatchu know about that real chinatown? the chinatown in ny is enormous compared to the one in chicago...and with better food! i've never heard of this asian delicacy before but it's fabulous and cheap! its called a sesame pancake and it's only $.75 at prosperity dumpling. apparently dumplings are the thing here, and prosperity dumpling is the best hole in the wall joint in chinatown according to metromix and some other sites. personally i preferred the fried pork and chive dumplings over the boiled ones; those were too doughy and you know i love grease! and the dumplings are 5 for $1.00! i was too ecstatic to discover this place on my first day out and about. this small joint even hosts a good view of ny...trash on sidewalk.
