so as of lately i've been looking for inspiration for some upcoming portfolio work. i really hate looking for inspiration, as far as trends go, because i'm usually disappointed in the idea of what is salable in fashion and i hate being directly influenced. but since seeing nicholas ghesquiere's spring 08 resort collection for balenciaga, i've been so delighted to see what he comes up with next. fashion has really taken an upturn as far as design goes; all of it may not be acceptable, but there are quite a few collections/designers i'm always excited to see. i'm always interested in seeing how this one person can direct his/her cult to love them even more.
anywho, these trends are what's inspiring my work right now.
