my circle of people.

i must say i know some rather amazing people. ('amazing' is working its way up to 'like' in terms of use, lol). my network of ppl in new york is growing daily and features so many talented, good hearted ppl.  i feel so blessed to be surrounded by and associated with them. i feel like i'm on an elevated plateau from knowing these ppl because i learn so much from them and there's an even exchange of positive energy. i wish everyone could feel this.

sam (my roomie and college friend), knows all the ppl i kno through other sources like cedric from 3rd floor and contessa from the new pop, as well as some up and coming designers and photographers and party kids. sammy knows everyone. and i love all of his lil gay boys. they're my boys too.

lori, has introduced me to the scenesters like radio rose, jenny from yours truly, mae aka ill p, jasmine solano, kelly of princess of the posse, and a host of other great, creative do it yourself people. she's a creator herself, who's working toward fulfilling her heart's desires. (we're both on this journey)

erica, who i knew from chicago, is just a great gal in general. very intelligent and such a sweetheart. love her to death. she know the guys and where to find them. wink wink.

lola, she doesn't live here, but has family here and know hella people up here. her friends are in some way associated with my friends, and we shall one day cross paths. ha. and she introduced me to lil alex, the epitomy of a new york street kid. you may hear more about him over the summer, if he doesn't get to wasted to let me know where the party is...

karl, we met on myspace or aim a while ago. he's a g.o.o.d guy, well mannered and fashioned. keeps me up on trends, parties, concerts, music.

yego and mario from 21mc, cool guys from cali, are great graphic designers and apparently gets good marijuana.

ned and jill, whom i met in chicago through the wonderful miss autumn, are a great young couple who are doing their part to make a change. ned is involved with teach for america. not exactly sure what jill does, but i think she's in law school and i KNOW she loves to cook! they really like to dance too.

dan, we randomly met at sxsw, but so turns out he knew a few of my ppls in chicago as well as donnis and a girlfriend of someone. when i came to ny, he took me around and introduced me to a lot of ppl. very social guy, knows a lot of ppl. non-stop talking with this guy. nice dude. very tall. knows how to have a good time. thats all he's concerned about. and music.

there are a few scragglies i don't think i'll mention. people whom i'm not sure if the relationship is worth mentioning or will last. but basically those ppl up top are my core, everyday, hanging out ppl. most of these ppl have met or i bet are separated thru someone other than myself. thats whats kinda great about new york. the degrees of separation are far less than other cities. and with the help of social networking, it could be a direct link if you're social or ballsy enough. and actually going out and having relevance for knowing them helps too. i prefer a direct introduction or a natural encounter when meeting ppl. just introducting yourself because you follow them on twitter or know them thru someone else just isnt necessarily my approach. that introduction builds a better bond and is kinda a co-sign to say "yeah she's good ppls".

also, my friends from chicago have been very crucial in me being socially comfortable in ny because most of them are here! most of those ppl up top have lived in chicago or kno my friends in chicago, which just reinerates what a small world it is.

i love meeting ppl by chance tho. its a great story to have and will usually add a lil something special to your day. its an amazing interaction to be had.

idk where i'm going with this. i just got really excited talking to a few friends on gchat and thought how great it is to share a convo with them. i mite start writing short stories on meeting ppl. that just popped into my head. 

i could keep going but then i think you'd stop reading so i'm done now.
