im so excited for benjamin bixby!

it looks like andre 3000's line, benjamim bixby, should be making it's feature debut this fall in select boutiques and department stores. the 70 piece collection was inspired by vintage athletic uniforms circa 1935, with a mix of dandy-ism, prep school style. And every piece, from the preppy boiled-wool sweaters and double-vent corduroy blazers to high-waisted trousers and striped dress shirts, had been constructed to a T—or actually a stitched "X," which adorned elbow patches and dungarees' back pockets...the line itself, benjamin bixby, andre says, “is a character who’s kind of like your uncle, or your granddad, and he has a closet full of experiences and clothes, and he’s been around the world...” at the age of 32, andre is taking a more mature approach to dressing these days. influenced by the iconic urban brands of the 90's like phat farm and tommy hilfiger, as well as the glossy english styled magazine clippings, he now fancies a more classic, timeless look thrown together with a lil spontaneity, which i'm sure will be noticeable in his collection. if ever in the presence of the duke of windsor or beau brummell, he'd hope they'd give a nod and say "that guy killed it"...
