indashio...

soooooo...i just came across this new young designer named indashio. he hails from florida and got his big break at the tender age of 19! but what i don't seem to understand is how this mediocre designer got asked to do ny fashion week, let alone l.a fashion week! i'm sorry i guess you can call this a hater moment but i don't see indashio's designs setting the bar high for anyone looking to step in to this industry. his acceptance into the fashion world sends the message that anyone can make it, and quite frankly, i just don't believe thats right. now don't get me wrong, anyone can make it, but your work should be up to par with your predecessors. his own personal style is a tacky indication of what to expect from his collections. when visiting his website, you can tell it hasn't been updated since 2006, but after perusing through the site, you can see that he's been linked to some of fashion's most prominent socialites: kim kardashian, nicky hilton, lil kim. but how i ask!!!! i guess he is just appealing to the same urban market baby phat is, one that is flashy and sexy, and one i don't seem to care about. being asked to do ny fashion week is a big deal and a great opportunity to showcase american designers, but these urban lines just don't represent design in great taste, in my opinion. sorry i'm such a critic but i'd just like to see a better representation of art and design in my industry that inspires a better generation of creatives...wwheeeeeeeeww. that felt good...oh and the lil macaulay culkin look-alike is coming out with a new show on vh1, called sew good. and it will be hosted by none other than: kelis...
i hate you indashio...
